  • Where will I do the sleep study?
    Hinsdale Sleep Center is located at 908 N. Elm St, Suite 315. Right down the hall from Drs. Girgis and Associates Hinsdale location.
  • How much time should I allow for a sleep study?
    Studies start at 8 PM and conclude by 5:30 AM the following day, patients are free to leave by 6 AM.
  • It looks like CPAP machines are expensive. How does insurance handle it?
    Every insurance policy is different, however after your deductible is met, most plans will cover your allowed amount- just like an office visit.
  • Will a CPAP machine keep my sleeping partner awake with noise?
    No, technology has advanced and the PAP machines today are very quiet.
  • Is snoring really dangerous?
    Snoring can be indicative of obstructive sleep apnea. If snoring is a concern, please schedule an appointment with one of our ear, nose, and throat physicians for further evaluation.
  • How important is it to clean the CPAP mask?
    Cleanliness is very important, to clean your mask, hand wash each day with mild soap. Avoid harsh cleaning products, which may damage the mask, or leave harmful residue. Allow to dry away from direct sunlight. For more information on how to clean and care for your mask, please refer to your mask User Guide.
  • How often do I get new CPAP equipment and supplies?
    Different insurers have different replacement schedules. Consult your provider for more information.
